Charity Information
Hard Rock Cafe Hamburg’s Rock the Dock will benefit the Hard Rock Heals Foundation in support of Sternenbrücke: According to estimates, there are up to 22,000 children and young people living in Germany suffering from illnesses or disabilities that will shorten their lives to such an extent that they will die while still children or young people. To provide these children and young people and their families with the most support possible during their difficult time, the Sternenbrücke children’s hospice opened in May 2003 as a pilot project for Northern Germany. The Sternenbrücke children’s hospice helps terminally ill children and young people to live a dignified life with their parents and siblings until their death. The hospice also provides support for the families after the loss of their child. (more information see presentation)
